I want to make a difference in a world where there are 7 billion people who also want to make a difference. How does one make a difference? I ask myself that question at least once a day. I have always had big dreams even when I was little and that hasn’t changed since reaching adulthood. My dreams have just become more realistic. Isn’t that stupid how the older we get the more “realistic” are dreams become, is that just what growing up is? Realizing that the world is not our oyster and that the world is harsh and cold. That sounds super pessimistic but isn’t that just reality. So, I have decided as I have grown older that my purpose in this life is to live. Sounds simple right? You may be reading this and say Claire I am already living what do you mean? I mean not just survive but live, take in every moment, absorb every emotion, feel everything, because you are only on this earth once, why just survive when you could live. Me being alive does make a difference (maybe not as big as the difference I wanted to make when I was little) but a difference, in the lives of my parents who love me, in my friends, at my work, at my school, it may be small changes, small impacts but who cares what does it matter they are differences even if you can’t observe them yourself.

That is really all I have to say for today, maybe I will do this every day as a sort of catharsis. It doesn’t matter to me if nobody reads this, it may exist in the never-ending hole that is the internet, but I hope it finds somebody, encourages somebody, makes a DIFFERENCE in somebody. (haha see what I did there (;

    Powerful thought. Even the smallest moments of truly living can change everything.
